A Life of Creativity, Courage and Purpose

Tarsha Howard is a survivor, a mother of four daughters, a Trinidadian-American artisan and a security professional. Her story brings together more than forty years of creative practice and over thirty years of work across federal government contracting, state government and the private sector.

Tarsha was raised by her Trinidadian father, who started the family business independently. Her mother is American. Her father’s example of entrepreneurship and her family heritage are central to her creative identity. She raised four daughters as a single mother while building her professional career and continuing to create. Artistry was not separate from that life. It was a thread running through it.

Precision, Integrity and Care

Tarsha’s security career has included high-level roles supporting federal agencies as a contractor, state-level security work and senior private-sector positions. Across these settings, her work has called for discretion, sound judgment and a commitment to protecting people.

That same attention to detail informs her creative practice: thoughtful choices, careful finishing and respect for the materials in her hands.

A Name Rooted in Family

ToRaDiMo takes its name from her four daughters: Tonika, Ranika, Dijion and Moziqe. Each is an entrepreneur, continuing a family story shaped by creativity, independence and determination.

For Tarsha, the brand is both a creative expression and a legacy. Family is not simply part of its origin. It is part of where the story is going.

Wearable Artwork, Made with a Personal Touch

Tarsha begins by visualizing a design, then considers the colors, shapes, textures and feel of the materials that will bring it to life. Her handmade work spans gemstone jewelry, pearls, charms, leather and statement designs.

Each piece she creates is made by hand, without machines. A design can take at least an hour to complete, with more intricate pieces requiring three to four hours. From gemstones to clasps, jump rings and finishing details, every component contributes to the finished work.

Her goal is to create jewelry that feels extraordinary and personal: pieces their wearers connect with, enjoy and treasure. Designs designated one of a kind offer an individual expression that will not be repeated as an identical ToRaDiMo piece.

The Creative Journey

Established in 2005 and licensed in 2021, ToRaDiMo has grown through an ongoing journey of jewelry, retail, couture and runway.

From Washington, DC, to New York Fashion Week, Tarsha has explored how jewelry works alongside clothing, movement and personal style. Her creative world extends beyond jewelry into leather accessories, art and fashion.

Building a Legacy

ToRaDiMo’s next chapter is rooted in the same forces that shaped its beginning: family, resilience and the freedom to create. Through her daughters, mentorship and her own continuing work, Tarsha is building a legacy that reaches beyond the pieces themselves.
